After news of SBEBB closing broke, one of my blog readers kindly invited me to join the Tiny Treasures Exchange group. I signed up for the very first exchange for a scissor fob, and received this lovely fob from Lisa.
I just love it! It goes perfectly with my current pair of scissors, which is red. Thank you, Lisa.
My own exchange went out a few days late and I feel so bad about it, but one of my little girls fell seriously ill recently and I spent a full week with her in the hospital, so everything had to be put on hold until she was well enough to be discharged. Thankfully my fob and SBEBB Frosty Friends have both gone out in the mail, and I only have one outstanding exchange left to fulfil.
Since it doesn’t look like I will be participating in many other exchanges this year, I have resolved to catch up on all my WIPs that are threatening to become UFOs. I pulled out To Laugh Often, which I am stitching as a gift for my Dad, and made some headway on it in the last couple of days. Dad’s had some worrying news about his health lately, and I’m hoping this will cheer him up.
Please excuse the rumpled linen, I’ll be giving this a good iron when it’s finally finished!
Happy New Year everyone! May your year ahead be filled with love and much stitching! I put the last stitch in my first finish for 2009 – Lizzie*Kate’s freebie called Hello Spring. I stitched this on 32ct antique white linen with my choice of GAST and Carrie’s Threads.
I like how bright it is, don’t you? Spring is coming to Singapore soon, even though we pretty much have only two seasons here – hot and wet, and hot and dry – but we can feel it in the breezes and in the way the sun falls on the plants in our little garden.
Oh, and for those of you who are dying to know where you can find Sampler Winter, it’s right here! Enjoy.
