New Chatelaine.

Chatelaine Alpine Seasons Garden

Martina’s new Alpine Seasons Garden is breathtakingly beautiful. But I’ve yet to get up the gumption to start one of her designs. They look so…involved.

Is anyone going to stitch this?

SBEBB Quaker exchange for Cari S.

It’s been more than two weeks since I mailed my exchange by registered post and still no word from Cari either by email, through the board or through BeckySC, so I’m just going to post pictures. I stitched a mattress pinkeep – my first attempt – and I’m passably happy with it. I used the bird motif and pot of flowers from Debbie Draper’s Quaker Moments design, and the alphabet from a freebie. It was stitched one over one on either 28 or 32 count cream linen. Sorry for the grotty pictures. I don’t have Photoshop on this new Mac Mini and the light was bad that day.

Cari, if you’re reading this, I hope you received the package okay. Phew, she received it safely!

SBEBB Quaker alphabet exchange from SuzanneN.

SBEBB Quaker alphabet exchange from SuzanneN

There was a surprise sitting in the mailbox this afternoon – Suzanne’s SBEBB Quaker alphabet exchange for me! She stitched me a little needlebook, which is wonderful as I don’t have one and now my JJ Petites have someplace nice to sleep. Suzanne also included a skein of DMC 75 (variegated red!), a fridge magnet of Kamloops and some felt that I can use to try my hand at making a needlebook too. Thank you for a great exchange, Suzanne. :)

My exchangee hasn’t sent word that she’s received my package for her, so I can’t share anything yet. Hoping she’ll post a message to say it’s arrived soon.

Hello.

No, I didn’t fall off the face of the earth! I’ve just been rather busy. Zoe had a viral fever, and Alison has a one-week school holiday, and K moved into a new office, and Needle Little Love had another 24-hour sale and I’ve got new products to upload on the website…it just goes on. Plus, any stitching I’ve done in the time between the last post and this one has been for exchanges so I can’t share anything just yet.

I’m working on yet another exchange piece right now (SBEBB redwork) and hopefully when I’m done with that I’ll get back to Nature’s Beauty and the 101 other WIPs I have lying around. Till then, I hope the stitching’s been good! :)
