the slow stitcher

A big bang.

I’ve fallen off the wagon in a really big way. I’m sure you could hear the thud from wherever in the world you are. I promised myself I wouldn’t buy any more stash till I made a dent in my to-do list, but here I am with Stickideen von der Wiehenburg’s Quaker-2 sampler chart sitting on my desk. Sigh.

Quaker-2

Martina was very kind – she not only sent me the chart, she also sent me a small cut of Weddingen linen in 25 count, as well as a fat eighth cut of 40 count Permin linen, a skein of Madeira silk in a gorgeous deep red, and a skein of flower thread in green. And, when she realised that I’d been trying to order this chart from her for ages but she hadn’t been responding to my emails because she was sick, she sent me a personalised mini Quaker sampler too! I’m really bowled over by her generosity. Thank you, Martina!

The Quaker is not the only naughtiness I’ve committed in recent times. But. I. Have. To. Stop.

  3. Beautiful Sampler, just keep say “everything in moderation”. That’s my new mantra, LOL.
